Robbie Burns Night!
An evening of revelry dedicated to the release of Skara Brae Scotch Ale, in celebration of Scotland’s National Bard!
We begin the evening with a bagpipe procession led by our local Scotsmen wearing kilts. A sword will be used to open the first keg of 2017 Skara Brae Scotch Ale, & a traditional Scottish menu of haggis, bangers, & mash will be offered alongside our regular menu.
Poems will be read, ale will be tasted, & a good time will be had by all!
We’ll also raffle off a growler filled with Skara Brae!
Join us for this very special beer release & honoring of Robbert Burns birthday, a tradition that’s been celebrated for over 250 years!

The Mostest is a clever, guitar-heavy, original jam-band from Bend. Songwriter/guitarist Mark Ransom and bassist Patrick Pearsall anchor this powerful band, promising everyone attending their live shows to have the MOSTest FUN! This show will be super danceable and the groove… in the pocket.
Beer recommendation: Crazy Horse Double IPA because it’s gonna be that kind of dance party with The Mostest! 🙂
The Open Jam is much more than just another Open Mic. This is where musicians can try out their material out in front of a welcoming crowd, and be backed by some of the finest musicians around. The house band has years of experience and musical knowledge which allows them to join in, on the spot, to make a song come alive. Audience and staff members have consistently commented on how amazing the music sounds, even when it is the first time the house band is hearing a song. When asked how they do it, Rod replies “We do our best to listen intently to what the performer is doing and then play what we hear in our heads. It’s a lot of fun and keeps us on our toes.” This approach has been so successful that local comedian, Jake Woodmansee, was selected from his improv performance with Rod’s Trio, for the lead role of the upcoming traveling production of, Hedwig and the Angry Inch. To sign up and perform, it is recommended that you get there at 5:00 pm, when the sign-ups open, as the list fills up quickly. Entertainment then runs from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, full bands, poets, magicians, comedians, & performance art are all welcome.
Silver Moon has also launched a weekly event called “Pour it Forward.” Watts explains that this is “typically a Friday afternoon ambush at a place of business, where we surprise the staff with an impromptu tasting in their office.” The beauty of the concept is that the recipient of that day’s event will pick next week’s recipient, often a partner business around town, or one that’s
been particularly supportive of their organization.
Our new IPA 97 received fantastic reviews at last weekend’s KLCC Brewfest in Eugene. We’ll be pouring it this Saturday for Zwickelmania, along with specialty beer tastings off the zwickel, brewery tours and other surprises. Get your IPA 97 t-shirt for just $10 this Saturday when you visit the Moon!
We know what you like. In addition to our craft beer taps in Bend, Silver Moon Brewing doles out the best nachos around. Join us on our No Cover Concert Series nights, grab up some nachos, and order from one of our taps. All this put together makes for a pretty great night.
